In an opinion piece published on February 14, 2002, in the New York Times, former federal Judge Michael Luttig stated that “Trump and his political allies are a clear and present danger”. This goes beyond the insurrection of January 6th, 2021, when a delusional mob attempted to thwart the peaceful transfer of power and hang the Vice President of the United States. Thankfully they failed, with no help from the White House. 5 people were killed and many more injured, yet millions of Americans deny the historical, social and criminal significance of this attempted takeover of our nations capitol.

Mental toughness and critical thinking are inseparable; it’s where evidence and facts matter more than opinions and emotion. That’s why I’m posting this and asking for your opinion. And to be clear, I’m not asking for your agreement or approval. I simply want to know what you think and what evidence you have to support your views, beyond citing the entertainers in the media posing as journalists. These people have earned millions lying to naive Americans, and it’s shameful. The reason I’m asking is because the world’s most successful democracy is on the fringe of failure, and make no mistake, if it’s toppled, no one is going to to be happy outside of the autocrat and his political sycophants. This is NOT about politics: this is about the survival of democracy, not just here, but around the world. Since I’ve known Donald Trump personally for 25+ years, I’m going to weigh in on this one. I know too much about this man to be silent. And even if you’ve never met Trump, I’d ask you to share your opinion. Unlike Congress, let’s have a robust discussion, minus personal attacks and emotional childishness. My fellow Americans, this is a very big deal. Our future, and our kids and grandkids future, is on the line. I’ll look forward to your comments.

  1. I called it from the moment Donald Trump won his first primary. I agree with you, he wants to be a dictator. We will have to wait and see what happens.
