    The next step is the re-programming process. I have a 6-CD album I recorded years ago for Johnson & Johnson’s sales team. It’s hours of world-class beliefs with classical music in the background. It’s based on the same principles of learning a new language, which is immersion. World-class is a language that must be learned and practiced, the same as english or spanish.     Another great resource for reprogramming is a fabulous book by my friend, Dr. Shad Helmstetter. It’s called, What to Say When You Talk to Yourself, and it’s brilliant. I read it in 1986, and it changed my life. This book has sold millions of copies. You can get it on Amazon.

  3. Change patterns of thinking change beliefs change actions change results and the time it takes for that progression is usually related to two things: 1. how badly one wants to change and 2. how hard wired the patterns are embedded in our behavior. Just recognizing them can be a major problem.

    Regardless, the set backs and dead ends that are bound to happen along the way will also cause problems unless the vision and decision to change is strong enough to stand up to adversity.

    Too small a vision or willingness to change will self destruct. It takes a big enough vision to make it happen. Why? Because you can count on achieving step by step half or less of the desired outcomes. The problem with too small is that not enough accumulation happens. Like too few drops of water accumulating in a bucket in hot weather, more will evaporation will exceed accumulation.

    OK -so say 1,000 people hear what you just said, Steve, and they’ve heard it many times and all 1,000 say, “I want to change!”- what next?

    Thanks for this video. I have always enjoyed your TSTN show, and used the education I received from it in my leadership roles as a naval aviator. Now I use it as an entrepreneur. Why do I still tune in?
