When you’ve been indoctrinated into a consumption-based mindset by slick advertisers, it’s difficult to become wealthy. No matter how much money you earn, there’s never enough left to save and invest. I further define wealthy as more money than you need, affording you the opportunity to do what you want, when you want, with whom you want, for as long as you want, without ever having to answer to anyone else for the rest of your life. Sadly, only a tiny percentage of people will ever experience this level of financial freedom, partially due to the never-ending barrage of social and mass media posts, photos and ads that brainwash us to believe that driving a $500,000 Ferrari, living in a $10 million dollar house and flying to business meetings in a private jet means that were important and successful. These so-called beacons of success keep us broke, as well as programing us to search for the next sexy, flashy item that will impress our friends and social media followers. It’s a formula for failure, and it’s far more common than many people think. In this episode of the Mental Toughness Podcast, we discuss how to get started down the path of prosperity through world-class thinking. #personaldevelopment#wealth#mentaltoughness
