America is an amazing place. It’s a place where you can start with nothing and build an empire. That’s what the most of the wealthiest people have done, yet the remaining 99% of the population struggles financially all of their lives. How about you? Are you living in financial abundance or laboring in the stress-filled world of the middle class? The good news is that whatever position you are in, you can begin today to make it better. And make no mistake: the rich WILL CONTINUE getting RICHER, and the masses will continue to struggle. The only question is; which group will you be in? Watch this short video I taped on the streets of Boston and I’ll look forward to your comments.

  1. Thank you Steve for your insight into the minds of the world class. I just finished reading your book How Rich People Think, and I am motivated, excited and empowered to execute on the advice you offer. Your book is a tremendous resource for anyone looking to expand their wealth and become rich. I have been researching and learning more and more over the past 15 years since I first started to recognize that we have the power to create the life we want. And many of the key take aways are clearly laid out in your book.
I agree with you. There are so many people I hear day after who complain about their current situation and lack of abundance and wealth in their life; however, they choose to do nothing about it. They consciously make the decision to live the life they have set up for themselves. Maybe it is because they like to complain. But for me, I moving right past those people. They do not serve me or my higher purpose. I know what I need to do to amass great wealth in my life. I am doing it right now.
I just got married to my twin flame. I just capitalized on an amazing opportunity and purchased my first home which is my ultimate dream home overlooking the mountains of New Hampshire. Thanks for your inspiring words of wisdom. Thank you for instilling in me the drive to succeed. My journey to wealth is a beautiful and fun time. I love every minute of it.
    Wishing you all the best!

  2. Better late than never.

After many years of reading/following Steve he just told me I’m a smart guy but critical thinking and mental toughness isn’t me. So after all the thousands of lines I’ve penned and grappled with and engaged with others, I have to conclude – respecting Steve’s opinion, that I’m not teachable.

    Thoughts concluded.

  3. Yes, I am doing something (whatever it takes!) about moving into the 1%. Per your recommendation in “177 MTS” I’m not only reading Bob Proctor’s “You Were Born Rich” but executing on his advice as well. Thank you for this life-changing, world-class resource!

For starters, I began with an assessment of my main biz and have found areas that were untapped and/or underutilized for revenue and those areas are being accessed now. Two new biz projects are also now in the works with the first launching this month.

And… I’m down 15 lbs. to date for Fat Losers. 🙂

  4. People who are one-of-a-kind and are going to become rich or wealthy or uber-wealthy will make it happen. That’s always been true and the ways to make wealth happen are diverse.

Some have done it in investments. Some in the Arts some in technology. Others in real estate, in cheese, in fund managememt. And so on it goes.

What Steve brings to the conversaton are thoughts on the personality traits and habits of action and thinking of people that lead to what they do in life.

Also, what to capitalize on and how is part of the equation.

I’m curious about what people are doing to capitalize on opportunity and how they go about doing it.

  5. I have given much thought to the idea of wealth and the seemingly and ever-growing spread between the ultra rich and the masses. I have studied wealthy people for decades, in fact one of the highlights of my year is when the Forbes issue with the controversial (to some) Forbes 400 hits the new stands (probably tomorrow). I have every Forbes 400 issue going back 45 years and each year read carefully the little blurb about each person on the list. We are within a year or 2 of seeing the first person on earth to have amassed a $100 Billion dollar fortune. I do not begrudge that, in fact I applaud that as Bill Gates who will likely be that person is using his wealth to change the world. The problem is that the masses or rather the vocal minority within the masses see that as problem and try to find ways to get the rest of society to rise up against that and cry out about the injustice of mega-wealth. I have certainly not achieved my desired level of wealth, thus at age 63 I still find myself working and building my business but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Over the last year or so, it is like I have had an epiphany and have come to realization that one cannot harbor what I refer to as a poverty mentality. I appreciated your blog, Steve, and as usual find that my mind and my thoughts are forced to think about the issues that you so capably put forth. I guess that is what one might refer as taking on the role of a thought-leader. Thanks

  6. Interestingly enough, I am moving in that direction by teaching people how to release their stress and trauma.

“How Rich People Think” is the book that changed my mind. I am just getting the business off the ground, but it’s a universal problem, I have a solution, and it’s a paradigm shift and for some markets, a culture change.

    I am determined though.

    Thank you!

  7. A lot of things factor into the matrix of people’s lives and how they see and use opportunity. In one sense 100% of everyone are capitalizing on their opportunities and getting what they want.

  8. Thanks for sharing the facts with us, Steve. The rich are getting an unfair slander against these days since we have a liberal administration working hand-in-hand with a VERY liberal media. People that criticize the rich are showing their own greed and envy which is far worse than any of the accusations against the wealthy. I thank God literally that we have wealthy rich people because they are ones that invest in companies that hire all those looking for a job. Most Americans are looking for a hand out of some type and have a entitlement mentality which is one of the many reasons they are always broke. Once again, thanks for sharing the cold hard facts about our freedom and our liberty to be wealthy!

  9. The issue of the 1% is not that they have “made” their money. It is that many of those wealthy people are not entrepreneurs anymore. They are never content with “enough”. They seem to have created a system of greed which is never satisfied. At least Carnegie began to help others succeed and gave back much of his wealth into the nation and its communities. It is the attitude that wealthy people who own large businesses who still pay their workers minimum wages or less and give no benefits. It is the corporate CEO’s who earn 500 times the workers salaries even if he fails! The bankers who find ways to create derivatives which are so diluted that if you invest in it –it is worthless. THAT is the issue. Deregulation of our monetary system world wide has created a cliff with an abyss so deep, that if it fails, the world will be put back into the dark ages. AND most of the rich ARE those people. Most of congress is made up of millionaires; so how can we depend on them to support the average worker or entrepreneur? The wealthy have a stranglehold on the populace and the last time that happened the fall of Rome and creation of Feudalism occurred.

I am all for being inventive and working hard to create wealth. Just once you get there remember you are one revolution away from losing it all unless you get rid of your greed and abuse of power.

    1. Donna,
Thanks for your comment. I think you’re lumping in the average millionaire with Ultra-High Net Worth individuals. The average millionaire does not work on Wall Street or in Congress. BUT…while I personally disagree, your viewpoint is in the majority right now and I’d like to use your comments on Facebook to start a debate. Of course I won’t do it without your permission. I love the way you articulated your argument and would love to see the feedback we get. Are you game?
I’ll look forward to your response.
      Thanks, Donna.
P.S. We did more discourse like this.

  10. Dear Steve and Dawn,

THANK YOU for all you do! I’m just now becoming part of the Mental Toughness Blog community so get used to seeing my name from now on. I love this blog post and I am finally doing WHATEVER IT TAKES to move into that 1% of the American population.

I now have the right tools to do so, thanks to you, and I am moving forward to love and abundance and building a World Class mindset. My real journey with you started with “Die Fat or Get Tough” and today is day 88 of studying the 101 principles one day at a time. The Fat Losers video added another level of mental reprogramming. I am 100% compliant in my eating and have lost 12 lbs. so far.

Now that I’m surely in the knowing phase of Fat Losers, I’m transitioning into reading, studying and internalizing “177 MT Secrets” which initially lead me to “Die Fat.” This weekend I downloaded “Million Dollar Mind” and am listening to your version of self-talk along with Dr. Helmstetter’s audio program which I started back in May.

Needless to say, my days are no longer what they use to be as my old beliefs are being replaced by new, better beliefs and the results I am currently experiencing from my focused actions. Momentum is building!

    Stay tuned for more!

    Warmest regards,
    Bobbi-Jo Romanishan
