Siebold’s European Speaking Tour

On a recent speaking tour in Europe, I was interviewed on the BBC five times in one week. Some of my comments regarding Prime Minister Gordon Brown ended up on the front page of the Daily Mirror Newspaper. The British press was wild, but fair. This short video post, taped outside the All England Tennis Club in London, is about identifying your world-class dream. Please share your world-class dream with the Mental Toughness Blog Community after you watch this post.   Steve Siebold [media id=19]

My Battle with Glenn Beck

In mental toughness training, we talk about the importance of logic-based, rational thinking devoid of emotion. Political pundit and talk radio host turned TV superstar Glenn Beck appears to be a serious student of U.S. History, but can’t seem to remove emotion from his decision making process. Yesterday I wrote a letter to Mr. Beck asking him to please stop blending his political comments with his religious beliefs. Invoking God and organized religion into an argument on the current administrations policies clouds the message and damages the credibility of the thought leader. I asked Mr. Beck to reserve his religious beliefs

Larry Wilson: Pioneer of Personal Growth

In 1959 Larry Wilson was a 29-year old hotshot in the life insurance industry, becoming the youngest member of the Million-Dollar Round Table. That same year Larry spotted a used book on a table outside of a bookstore. The book was by Dr. Abraham Maslow, the father of humanistic psychology and the creator of the famous Hierarchy of Needs. Larry read the book and was so fascinated with Maslow’s philosophy that he contacted him at Brandeis University. Dr. Maslow invited Larry to visit him, and the day they spent together inspired Larry to start Wilson Learning  in 1960, which eventually become

Steve Siebold on NBC-TV Australia

This is a television interview I did recently in Sydney, Australia, via satellite from the NBC affiliate in Atlanta. This is one of the most popular shows in Australia. As you can see, no matter how serious the topic, the Aussies always like to have a good time. I’ve done several speaking tours in Australia over the years, and they are among my favorite audiences in the world.    Steve Siebold  (4:30) [media id=16]

Millionaires Secret

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the last post. It was a great debate. I appreciate everyone’s passion and enthusiasm. Isn’t it great that thinkers have a place to express our opinions in a strong, yet respectable manner? Thanks for having the courage to sound off, no matter which side of the argument you were on. This post is a little lighter, yet important mental toughness strategy of millionaires. I’ve taught this exercise to tens of thousands of sales people and entrepreneurs all over the world, and it’s one of the most popular segments of the Mental Toughness University process. Watch

Mentally Tough Lesbian Fights Back

Constance McMillen is giving high school students in Mississippi a lesson in mental toughness. She’s an 18-year old high school senior who wants to attend the prom. When the school board found out she was a lesbian and wanted to bring her girlfriend to the dance, they freaked out and canceled the prom. USA Today has been covering this story all week. Here are my critical thinking questions on this story: When will we finally stop discriminating against minorities? When will America grow up and begin practicing the tolerance we love to lecture our children about? When will we finally accept

Steve Siebold in Amsterdam: Where are the fat people?

I was giving a speech in Amsterdam, and was shocked to see how few fat people there were. As you know, Amsterdam is famous for several things, including being known as the bicycle riding capital of the world. No wonder these people are so fit, no one seems to own a car! They ride their bikes to work all year long. I was so blown away by the lack of obesity that I took a video camera out in the middle of Dam Square searching for fat people, and I couldn’t find any! Amazing. 66% of Americans are overweight or obese.

Brian Tracy: Critical Thinker

I just returned from San Diego, where I videotaped two programs with my friend and mentor, Brian Tracy. Brian is one of the greatest critical thinkers I’ve ever known, and his books, seminars, and audio/video programs have helped millions of people around the world. I started studying his philosophies in 1984, and I’ve never stopped. He has dozens of his audio albums displayed in the foyer of his office, and he laughed when I told him I owned all of them. I wasn’t kidding. I’ve studied this mans work like a scientist, and the impact it’s made on my life is

Death Threats: Logic vs. Emotion

Thanks to everyone who commented on the Obama-Care Disaster post, especially to Mike Michelozzi and Jane Barr, who really dug into this post with their opinions and ideas. Five major newspapers called me for interviews within 14 hours of this post, and I appreciate the Canadian and U.S. press for their continued support of this blog. Just hours after President Obama signed the health care bill into Law, several congressman have received death threats. These events occur when people allow their emotions to cloud their judgment. Mentally tough performers use emotion to create passion, but never allow their passion, no matter
