How does Santa Claus get to all of those houses in one night? As a child, did that question ever cross your mind? Most likely, it did. This is an example of our early attempts to employ critical thinking in our lives. As we mature and become more cognitively proficient, we’re easily able to answer questions of this nature. The problem is sometimes we don’t like the answers, so we purposely avoid the proof, data and evidence that comprise the building blocks of critical thinking.
