Unions are holding America back from being competitive. They served their purpose but are no longer relevant in the 21st century. Companies will continue moving to non-union states because of the ridiculous wages they are forced to pay union workers. I’ve been physically threatened by union workers for not hiring them in Seattle, Cleveland and Chicago, and this mob mentality has got to go. The 20th century is over and it’s time to abolish unions. In personal development we talk a lot about beliefs, but the truth is beliefs are often rooted in our core philosophy. Many of us adopt the philosophy of our parents, teachers, religious leaders, coaches and others of influence in childhood. Sometimes this is good but more often it’s limiting. As an American citizen, I’m embarrassed to tell my friends and colleagues overseas that our government believes it has the right to tell us what we can and can’t do with our own bodies. As a mental toughness coach to some of the largest sales teams in the world, I find it downright offensive. I just gave a speech in Washington, DC and and an interview on FOX, and it got me thinking of how childish and hypocritical some of these laws are.
