Mental Toughness Secret of Champions: Objective vs. Subjective Reality

By

While the masses operate primarily on a subjective model of the world, champions see life through the eyes of objective reality. This strategic advantage is one of the mental toughness secrets of the world class which is rarely talked about. Have a serious look at your life with critical objectivity and you’ll see exactly what you need to do to get what you want. The average thinker allows emotion to cloud their judgement in their personal analysis of themselves and their results. Take stock of your results in every area of your life and objectify yourself as performance machine producing results. What does the machine need to do or change to get to the next level? Listen to this post for more information and then go to work on yourself. If you can see yourself and your performance objectively, you will create a road map to success very few people even understand. Is there REALLY a difference in thinking between the middle and world class; between the wannabes and the champions? You bet there is, and this is one of them.

Yes, for this we need the spirit of champion. As many champions,do. It is the requirement to change our thinking towards our areas of life.

  2. Distinctions between objective and subjective thinking lead to lots of abstract questions and Steve keeps it simple in a simple context. Can the subjective mind consider that which isn’t produced as an effect by the subjective mind and hence be called objective happen, that is the question? There are different ways to look at objectivity and I’ve looked at objectivity objectively which produces impressions and information in a most unsual way.

BUT for the idea on this thread, Steve makes the distinction clear. The delusional things happen when people imagine objectivity to justify inactivity or failed activity OR that they have accomplished what they have not accomplished.

Allowing emotion to cool off is an empowering idea. How to be totally passionate and engaged in this world yet not of it in the sense of being swayed by every wind that blows AND in that total engagement being disengaged from outcomes, from stress, pressure, resistance and forcing something to happen – to be in that perfect balanced state – is where you want to be living.

The still point and center of objectivity – and I would add subjectivity – is the most freeing and productive place for fun, for abundance, for achieving world class success.

One of the reasons my business and life success is where it’s at today and where it’s going is because I found your book on line a few years ago and began a new study in world class success no one had ever brough to my attention in the past, Steve. I was the right student at the right time when you life’s work came into mine.

All of this – all of what you have to say about subjective an objective reality, about mental toughness and world class vs poverty/middle class etc, has to be repeated over and over and over again because it will only make sense when the time it right for people to get it.

    Dear Steve:
    AMEN!
it’s all about behaviors; if you dont like the results in any area of life, then change your behaviors in this area. otherwise, the results wont change!
